I WILL POST THIS QUICKLY AS AS I TYPE SOMEONE (MODERATOR 1) WILL BE DELETING IT FOR ITS INAPPROPRIATENESS!!! I HAVE KEPT QUIET THROUGH ALL OF THIS, BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! IF WE ARE TO BE TREATED AS 5 YEAR OLDS THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF EVEN HAVING THIS FORUM!!! I KNOW THAT NRAS DONT CONSIDER THIS FORUM AS BEING IMPORTANT AND THAT IT IS A PRIVELEGE AND NOT A RIGHT, BUT WE ARE ALL ADULTS BEING TREATED VERY BADLY. DO THEY ACTUALLY WANT US ALL TO LEAVE, MAYBE THE IDEA IS TO CLOSE THE FORUM DOWN DUE TO UNDERUSE???? SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY GOING ON AND OBVIOUSLY ITS A NEED TO KNOW BASIS, AND WE DO NOT NEED TO KNOW . SOON, NO ONE WILL BE VISITING HERE AT ALL, HOW SAD IS THAT, WHEN PEOPLE NEED A FRIEND TO CHAT TO, SOMEONES SHOULDER TO CRY ON (METAPHORICALLY) OR JUST TO SEE WHO IS ON LINE ETC THAT WE ARE MADE TO FEEL LIKE WE HAVE TO BE WATCHED ALL THE TIME. WELL, IF ANYONE GETS TO READ THIS, I AM FEELING VERY SAD AND LET DOWN BARBARA

Barbara
I have not been on the forum for several days so am totally confused with what has gone on. All I do know is that I need this forum. You are the only people I know with RA and who can offer me support and advice. Please all stay posting as you make my happy when I am sad and encouraged when I am down.
Jackie xx

Jackie, the last thing we want is all this, its out of our hands. Theres been so much upset that it appears the moderators have decided to delete certain posts even when they were just peoples opinions, apparently we are not allowed any opinions, we have only to follow rules and obey. Anyway, I sincerely hope it wont come to it, but who knows??? Ummm, Oh, am I allowed to say that?????? BARBARA

The problem may be that a particular 'member' does not like other people offering opinions and suggestions. NRAS it may well be were put in this position by responding to this 'person's' complaint. The two ladies concerned give to the forum rather than take which makes it particularly difficult for we members. It seems sad that this opinion, which is mine only and is not a sweeping statement but has been carefully thought out, will possibly be moderated as unsuitable for delicate members.
All my life I have had my opinions valued but not any more as I have had posts deleted over the past few days.

like Jackie I haven't been on for a few days and I'm also confused about what's been going on! I too value the forum and have been helped through some difficult times by welcome advice, support and kindness, good laughs, touching experiences, prayers and the knowledge that I'm not alone with this dreadful disease.

Time to let go my friends This is not good for the forum and especially for new members. Let's get on with coping with 'Arthur' and all it throws at us and supporting each other in the lovely way we all do.

I really wish I could let go Ann-in fact I really wish the person hadn't caused all this in the first place-but the anger and upset is too deep for me I'm afraid when I see the person is still here and still posting as if she has done nothing at all. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

I'm with you on this, Julie..........................................., some people have been treated appallingly and others have been allowed to continue, its unbelievable that this forum has deteriorated to such an extent that users no longer feel safe to post opinions, thoughts etc for fear of being inappropriately moderated. When I joined up it was fun, lively, interesting and there was always someone to help, advise and support The newer members will now not have this facility and that alone makes me determined to stay on, (even if I have nothing to say that might be construed as useful) and keep a watchful eye on those who DO post inappropriately. and for your information Julie, the person concerned denies having made a complaint in the first place! Always be aware that what you do might hurt others........and if it could, do nothing without careful consideration of the consequences

Dear everyone, I, too, have not been on the Forum lately and am completely confused as to what has been going on. Deleted posts, you say. What kind of posts and who are the moderators? What types of opinions can't be expressed? I love our forum and think that we should be allowed to express our opinions, after all we don't have to agree with any that we don't think much of. What is the problem on here? Why do some people get offended so easily, as that is what I am assuming has happened. Are people reporting others to the moderators? What topics are the dodgy areas? Your very confused fellow member, Fiona
